Dissertation note: Project (M.A.)—Nile University, Egypt, 2023 . Abstract: Abstract: Although Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) is evolving, Real Time Driver’s Identification (RTDI) towards Traffic Authorities (TA) is an area that needs enhancements specially within developing countries. This project focuses on RTDI to assure fair and accurate traffic detection of violations during the vehicle movement based on location trace records of both vehicle and its driver. ITS and Automation are fields that recently shapes the automotive industry domain based on different innovative applications using Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). These applications allow different systems or machines to communicate and exchange data seamlessly. They also take the proper decision accordingly based on the inputs. Autonomous Vehicle’s is evolving and spreading at a very high rate. The vehicle and its driver do not retain as two identities anymore. The best decision to be taken by the vehicle in the right time relying on supportive, secured, and reliable technologies is a must. On the other hand, the assigned traffic monitoring authority should be able to take fair and right decision against the driver moreover. TA has to know who the driver is as well as how the vehicle is been driven. Maturity of autonomous solutions need more time to achieve their desired objectives. The on-road death figures are increasing, hence the actual driver identification based on secured innovative technologies used by the assigned authorities is very demanding requirement to figure out this challenge and offer RTDI technology or solution. The Real Time driver identification proposed solution expected to create new sustainable and safe transportation era especially in the developing countries. RTDI solution will make vehicle movement conditions more secured and reduce on-road death reports. Survey reports shows that people are accepting to use secured technologies to safe human life and enhance driving conditions.

Abstract:
Although Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) is evolving, Real Time Driver’s
Identification (RTDI) towards Traffic Authorities (TA) is an area that needs
enhancements specially within developing countries. This project focuses on RTDI
to assure fair and accurate traffic detection of violations during the vehicle
movement based on location trace records of both vehicle and its driver. ITS and
Automation are fields that recently shapes the automotive industry domain based
on different innovative applications using Information and Communication
Technologies (ICT). These applications allow different systems or machines to
communicate and exchange data seamlessly. They also take the proper decision
accordingly based on the inputs. Autonomous Vehicle’s is evolving and spreading
at a very high rate. The vehicle and its driver do not retain as two identities anymore.
The best decision to be taken by the vehicle in the right time relying on supportive,
secured, and reliable technologies is a must. On the other hand, the assigned traffic
monitoring authority should be able to take fair and right decision against the driver
moreover. TA has to know who the driver is as well as how the vehicle is been
driven.
Maturity of autonomous solutions need more time to achieve their desired
objectives. The on-road death figures are increasing, hence the actual driver
identification based on secured innovative technologies used by the assigned
authorities is very demanding requirement to figure out this challenge and offer
RTDI technology or solution. The Real Time driver identification proposed
solution expected to create new sustainable and safe transportation era especially
in the developing countries. RTDI solution will make vehicle movement conditions
more secured and reduce on-road death reports. Survey reports shows that people
are accepting to use secured technologies to safe human life and enhance driving
conditions.
